Traditional Soil-Based
Methods

The larger grow house on-site at Basket Case Farms is dedicated to traditional farming methods within a variety of containers. The soil we use is trademarked, certified organic, and contains high levels of beneficial micro-organisms. A high loam content allows us to water less frequently and use the soil for longer periods of time. Plants are grown from seed and transferred to their final container where they will be grown and cultivated for the produce we donate. Custom irrigation with three separate zones allows us to properly water plants based on the type and where they are in the growth cycle. We look forward to building out this space with larger trough-style containers, allowing our plants to grow with less restrictions and water usage.
